On Thursday night Disintergrate (trainer: Charlie Gatt) claimed victory in the Tasmanian Gold Cup final at Elwick, with a very fast time of 25.97 seconds over the 461 meters. Running from box 7, the favourite came in four-and-a-half lengths ahead of Anthony Dawson’s Stylish Monty, with Eagle Eye rounding out the places in third.
The win stands Disintergrate in good standing for next month’s highly anticipated Group 1 Hobart Thousand series, with heats scheduled for December 10.
