We sincerely hope you took heed of our tips in our recent post: “Sandown Shootout 2009“; as it turns out, our tip was 100% correct.
According to the Geelong Advertiser, Velocette took advantage of his box one draw to come home two lengths ahead of kennel mate Turanza Bale. Here’s a short excerpt from the article:
Graeme Bate’s remarkable run has continued when his dog Velocette streeted the field to win the $20,000 Group 3 Macro Meats Shootout at Sandown Park.
It was the Avalon trainer’s first win in the shootout and was made all the more sweeter by the fact that he quinelled the event.
Velocette took advantage of his box one draw to score by two lengths from his kennel mate Turanza Bale in 29.65 seconds.
Defending champion Mantra Lad, who gained a berth in Thursday night’s event following the shock scratching of Queen Lauryn earlier in the week, showed he was close to his brilliant best a further 1.75 lengths away third, while Cosmic Rumble finished fourth just four lengths from the winner.
Hope you took advantage of the tipping, and the Sportsbet special promo we had running in that post!
