The final field for the invitation-only Topgun has now been released, and it’s a great field. The final field was selected by a panel of experts on Friday night, after initially having 22 greyhounds on the preliminary invite list.
The Group One Topgun will take place at The Meadows in Melbourne on October 23. The Topgun, worth $100,000 to the winner, is considered the Cox Plate of Greyhound Racing, and is sure to have several punters wagering big.
NSW and Victoria are expectedly well represented in the line-up, with Mr Metz the sole representative from QLD.
